Hosted by the Baltimore County Police Department - Financial and Cyber Crimes Team, United States Secret Service (Baltimore), Homeland Security Investigations (Baltimore), U.S. Postal Inspection Service (Baltimore), and the Internal Revenue Service - Criminal Investigation (Baltimore), this conference is designed to foster meaningful connections between investigators, analysts, and financial industry professionals.Through presentations, discussions, and networking opportunities, attendees will gain insight into current financial crime trends, investigative strategies, and emerging threats impacting the banking sector. Most importantly, the event aims to strengthen communication and collaboration between law enforcement and financial institutions, improving our collective ability to identify, investigate, and prevent financial crime.

United States Secret Service - Baltimore

United States Postal Inspection Service - Baltimore
Join representatives from the United States Postal Inspection Service for an in-depth discussion on the increasing prevalence and financial impact of mail theft. This session will examine common methods of theft, the means by which offenders acquire and exploit stolen materials, and the resulting consequences for financial institutions and individual victims. Homeland Security Investigations - Baltimore

This session will provide an overview of key reporting mechanisms—including Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), and IRS Form 8300—and how these tools are utilized to identify financial crimes, support investigations, and enhance interagency collaboration.
From Investigation to Prosecution: State & Federal Perspectives
This session will feature a joint presentation by experienced state and federal prosecutors, offering a dual perspective on the prosecution of financial and cyber-related crimes. Attendees will gain insight into how cases are evaluated, charged, and built for successful outcomes across jurisdictions.
